About Arif bhai

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيم

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

My name is Arif, and I specialise in helping families from the Ahl-e-Hadith/Salafi school of thought who are looking to settle in Islamabad or Rawalpindi. Of course, brothers and sisters from other schools of thought are also welcome! 😁

One of the first priorities for many families when settling in a new place is finding a suitable masjid — a place where you, your wife, and your children can pray, seek knowledge, build connections, or simply find a quiet moment of seclusion. As we know, from the people who will be under the shade of Allah’s Throne on the Day of Judgement are those whose hearts are attached to the masjid.

Although we live in a Muslim country, finding a masjid that aligns with Ahl-e-Hadith/Salafi teachings can sometimes be challenging, especially since this community represents roughly 10% of the population, and even less in Punjab.

I can take you around different areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi and share the pros and cons of each based on my own experiences and the experiences of expats who live here.

I was born and raised in the UK, and I’ve spent the last 3+ years living in Islamabad. Making hijrah from the UK to the Muslim lands was a lifelong ambition of mine, and by the Mercy of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, He made it possible for me — Alhamdulillah.

Now, Allah has placed me in a position where I can help others on their hijrah journey, something I didn’t have available when I made mine.

May Allah make your hijrah easy and full of barakah.

Testimonials

"As Salaam Alaykum. My time spent with Arif Bhai was an important part of my overall visit to Islamabad. Where with other brothers I efficiently explored many areas and did a deep dive into the overall picture of making Hijrah to Pakistan, Arif Bhai privileged me with personal experiences and sit-downs with other expats who already made the move. I enjoyed the most with Arif Bhai our variety of conversations and the bluntness/ transparency to his explanations. With the focus of my Hijrah being for the sake of Allah SWT, Arif Bhai was very insightful with any of my inquiries regarding differences between the practicing of Islam in the West and Pakistan. Anyone booking a tour with him will have a well learned Muslim brother with years spent on the ground inshaAllah. Another factor worth mentioning is him being one of the few (currently) single expat brothers, his experiences are more than just "this was a fun place I went with my wife". He seems to have spent a lot of time mixing with local communities and observing societies with more time and freedom, adding to his depth of knowledge of the country."
